The first month of 2016 is on it’s way out, can you believe it? There are several ways to celebrate the end of January this weekend in Wilmington, including the Wine and Chocolate festival (Count me in!). Catch all the fun in our weekend guide below!

Wine & Chocolate Festival

Sip wine and taste chocolates from the region’s winemakers and chocolatiers this weekend at the Coastline Convention Center downtown. In case you needed more than that, you can also live music, demonstrations, and raffles! A Grand Tasting with hors d’oeuvres will be held on Friday evening.

Friday January 29th from 7pm to 10pm; Saturday, January 30th from 11am to 6pm; Sunday, January 31st from noon to 4pm.
Admission is $10.00 to $15.00.

Wilmington Theater Awards

StarNews presents the Port City’s version of the Oscars, the Wilmington Theater Awards, at Thalian Hall downtown!

19th Annual Model Railroad Show & Sale

Wilmington’s biggest model railroad sale features vendors from all over North Carolina! Interactive layouts will be set up and the event is kid friendly!

The Loving Story at the Main Library Downtown

The Main Library in downtown Wilmington is screening The Loving Story, which follows the story of the Lovings, an interracial couple living in Virginia in the 1950s, and their landmark Supreme Court Case, Loving v. Virginia, that changed history.

Saturday, January 30th, at 2pm.

Precious Metal: Handcrafted Jewelry Show at The Brooklyn Arts Center

The Region’s best hand crafted jewelry show will be at the Brooklyn Arts Center this Saturday, featuring jewelry as well as metal sculptures. The event will also feature a raffle, food from Catch the Food Truck, and a cash bar.

Sunday, January 31st at noon.
Admission is $5.00 and a raffle ticket is included with admission.

Ed Stephenson and the Paco Band in Concert
